Industry’s First P0.9 SiMiP Silicon-Based Micro-LED Display Unveiled Sinyopto Accelerates the Commercialization of Micro-LED Direct Display

Recently, at the 2025 Hangjia Display Full Industry Chain Annual Conference, Sinyopto was awarded the “2025 Supply Chain Enterprise Influence Award” in recognition of its continuous breakthroughs in RGB and MiP packaging, stable delivery capability, and efficient supply chain collaboration.

At the same time, the joint technological achievements of Sinyopto and Lijin Semiconductor reached a major milestone — the industry’s first P0.9 silicon-based Micro-LED direct-view display (powered by SiMiP chips) has completed development and has been successfully sampled. This further demonstrates Sinyopto’s leading advantages in Micro-LED panel technology and system-level implementation.

1. Sinyopto × SiMiP Technology Collaboration: Advancing SiMiP from Chip to System-Level Application

Lijin Semiconductor’s self-developed SiMiP (Silicon-based Micro LED in Package) display chip has been awarded the “2025 Outstanding Product Award” at the Aurora Awards.
Building upon this award-winning technology, the two parties jointly completed the development of the industry’s first P0.9 silicon-based Micro-LED direct-view display.

Note:SiMiP is Lijin Semiconductor’s key breakthrough in solving major mass-production challenges of Micro-LED.
Based on a GaN-on-silicon platform, each SiMiP chip integrates RGB sub-pixels and achieves high-quality full-color display through wafer-level color conversion.

This innovative approach avoids the traditional Micro-LED processes of mass transfer and mass repair, achieving “one-time die bonding, zero mass transfer”, significantly improving production yield and delivering over 30% overall cost reduction, laying the foundation for large-scale Micro-LED adoption.

This achievement represents a model of deep upstream-downstream collaboration from chip → panel.
During cooperation:

Lijin Semiconductor focused on R&D and performance verification of SiMiP chips

Sinyopto, leveraging its advanced Micro-LED design and precision manufacturing strengths, developed customized solutions tailored to SiMiP

Through customized laser-based die processing, nano-optical treatments, and other advanced techniques, Sinyopto successfully enabled the SiMiP chip to evolve into fully integrated panel, cabinet, and display systems, achieving a remarkable 99.998% yield rate.

This highly efficient collaborative model greatly shortens SiMiP’s path from technology to product and strongly validates the feasibility of silicon-based Micro-LED for direct-view display applications.

2. Mutual Recognition Strengthens Sinyopto’s Value Across the Industry Chain

From winning the supply chain award for its RGB/MiP packaging leadership, to enabling the first silicon-based SiMiP Micro-LED direct-view display, Sinyopto continues to demonstrate core value in the new-display industry chain through:

strong technological capability

high-efficiency supply chain

system-level engineering expertise

Looking ahead, Sinyopto will continue to leverage MiP and Micro-LED technologies as its core drivers, accelerating the transition of next-generation displays from technological breakthroughs to large-scale commercialization — delivering higher performance, higher reliability, and higher efficiency display solutions for the industry.
