2025 Mini/Micro LED Microdisplay Industry Summit Preview: MIP Unleashes New Momentum for the Micro LED Sector

In today's era of booming global display technology and intensifying competition, The 2025 Mini/Micro LED Microdisplay Industry Summit will soon kick off on March 7 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Organized by the Semiconductor Lighting Display Branch of China Information Industry Association, this industry event Grand event, focused on "Technological Innovation, Industry Collaboration, and Future Ecosystem"—these themes are capturing the global attention of the display industry. Among the many high-profile topics, Mr. Zhao Qiang, Head of Hubei Sinyopto Co., Ltd.'s Micro LED Project, will deliver a compelling keynote speech on "The Industrialization Advantages and Progress of MiP-Based Micro LED Display Panels," offering attendees a deeper look into this cutting-edge technology. I P's critical role in the Micro LED industry is highly anticipated.

As a leading example of next-generation display technology, Micro LED has emerged as a highly sought-after "hot commodity" in the global display industry, thanks to its standout advantages such as high brightness, low power consumption, and extended lifespan. Industry forecasts suggest that by 2025, the global Mini/Micro LED market could surpass $10 billion in size. China, as the world's largest producer of display panels, is fully committed to advancing key technologies and integrating its robust supply chain—determined to seize the initiative in this transformative wave of display innovation. In the journey toward Micro LED industrialization, M I P (Micro LED in Package) technology plays an indispensable role, offering fresh insights and direction for the development of Micro LED display panels.

Mr. Zhao Qiang graduated from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and With extensive experience in the development of Mini & Micro LED display and backlight packaging devices, as well as module products, he also leads forward-looking technology development and management. He holds over 46 patent applications—14 of which are invention patents—and has published 7 research papers, firmly establishing himself as a seasoned industry expert. His insights shared at this year’s summit are undoubtedly the highlight that attendees have been eagerly anticipating.

In his speech, Mr. Zhao Qiang will provide an in-depth analysis based on The industrialization advantages of MiP's Micro LED display panels. From a technical perspective, M I P technology effectively addresses the challenges of mass transfer in Micro LED manufacturing. Micro LED chips are incredibly small, making high-precision, high-efficiency mass transfer a major hurdle for industrialization—yet M I P technology enhances the precision and efficiency of chip transfer through an innovative packaging approach, reducing losses during the process and significantly boosting production yield—laying a solid foundation for the mass production of Micro LED display panels.

From a cost perspective, M I P technology offers a viable pathway for cost optimization in the Micro LED industry. Traditional Micro LED manufacturing processes are complex and remain expensive, hindering their widespread market adoption. M I P technology integrates multi-chip packaging, streamlining production processes and reducing reliance on expensive equipment—thereby lowering overall manufacturing costs. This not only enables Micro LED display panels to maintain high performance but also makes them more competitively priced, paving the way for faster adoption of Micro LED technology across diverse downstream applications, including consumer electronics, automotive displays, and metaverse-related products.

In terms of industrialization progress, Sinyopto Optoelectronics has already achieved significant milestones, thanks to the support of Mr. Zhao Qiang. Based on M I P's Micro LED display panel has already demonstrated exceptional performance in the lab stage, excelling in key metrics such as brightness, contrast, and color reproduction—metrics that now place it at an industry-leading level. Meanwhile, Sinyopto Optoelectronics is steadily advancing the transition from laboratory development to mass production, collaborating closely with companies across the upstream and downstream segments of the industry to further refine its M-based technology. I The industrialization ecosystem of P's Micro LED display panel.

At this year's summit forum, Mr. Zhao Qiang's presentation not only provided attendees with an in-depth understanding M I P holds significant value within the Micro LED industry, offering the entire sector invaluable insights and strategic approaches in areas such as technological breakthroughs, cost control, and industry collaboration. This will strongly propel the Micro LED industry toward higher-quality, more efficient growth, enabling China's display industry to stand out prominently in global competition.

The 2025 Mini/Micro LED Microdisplay Industry Summit brought together top experts in the display field, industry leaders, and leading investment firms, serving as a premier platform for collaboration and exchange among government, academia, industry, research, and end-users. Mr. Zhao Qiang delivered remarks on M I P's speech will undoubtedly be a major highlight of the conference, injecting strong momentum into the Micro LED industry and steering the sector toward a new phase of growth. Registration for the event is currently underway—simply scan the code or use the designated QR code to sign up (space is limited; on-site registration is not available). We look forward to seeing all industry peers gather in Shenzhen for this premier display technology event, where together we’ll witness the future of M. I P brings infinite possibilities to the Micro LED industry.
