Drafting the standard! The group standard "Evaluation Standard for Green and Low-Carbon Products: Mini LED Displays" has been released.
Recently, the group standard *Green and Low-Carbon Product Evaluation Specification for Mini LED Displays*, co-drafted and compiled by Sinyopto Optoelectronics, was officially released. This marks the first time that evaluation criteria, methods, and procedures specifically for green and low-carbon Mini LED displays—and even guidelines for compiling product lifecycle reports—have been clearly defined. The standard fills a significant gap in the market, paving the way for LED micro-display technology to evolve further toward greater environmental friendliness and energy efficiency. As one of the participating drafting organizations, Sinyopto Optoelectronics actively contributed to the development of this standard. Leveraging its deep expertise and extensive experience in Mini & Micro LED packaging, the company provided crucial technical support and valuable insights that helped shape the final version of the standard. --- **01** **Outstanding Performance: Micro Displays Offer More Than Just Energy Savings** Mini LEDs are defined as LED devices whose chip sizes range between 50 and 200 μm. Currently, while Mini & Micro LED devices remain relatively expensive, their smaller chip size inherently simplifies manufacturing processes, leading to lower production costs compared to other display technologies. Beyond their compact, lightweight design—which naturally translates into energy savings—Mini LEDs also deliver exceptional performance advantages, including higher brightness, superior reliability, sharper resolutions, and remarkably crisp, detailed image quality. Sinyopto Optoelectronics’ MiP series products exemplify these benefits. By integrating MiP (Mini & Micro LED in Package) technology along with an inverted-chip plus common-anode design, these displays not only reduce energy consumption but also elevate visual performance to new heights, delivering stunning picture quality that sets them apart. --- **02** **Green and Low-Carbon: The Future Path for the LED Micro-Display Industry** As a key precursor to Micro LED technology, Mini LED large-scale displays represent a critical stepping stone toward the ultimate goal of LED display innovation. The establishment and implementation of the *Green and Low-Carbon Product Evaluation Specification for Mini LED Displays* serve as a powerful catalyst, injecting fresh, eco-friendly momentum into the Mini/Micro LED industry. This groundbreaking standard not only paints a greener, more sustainable future for the LED display sector but also acts as a dynamic "green engine," propelling the industry forward with a commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability.
